Meet Mallory Gardner – Helping Families Feel Connected

21 Jun Meet Mallory Gardner – Helping Families Feel Connected

Meet Mallory Gardner, one of Ashurst & Niemeyer Real Estate’s newest additions.  Mallory is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio.  She played for the basketball for UNC-Wilmington as well as Wright State University in Dayton, OH.  In her first few days on campus, she met John David Gardner, who played for the men’s basketball team.  John David and Mallory dated throughout college before they married.  Five years ago they moved to Fairhope with their first child who was 8 months old at the time .   They fell so in love with the area, they consider themselves “lifers”.  Mallory now has three young children and is expecting a fourth in August.

Connecting Young Families

Mallory is the president of Fairhope MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers).  When she moved here 6 years ago, she knew she wanted to get connected with other moms, so she sought out the local MOPS group.  This will be her third year leading the group.  Fairhope MOPS is the Fairhope branch of the international organization. They meet twice a month during the school year.  MOPS seeks to create an atmosphere of fellowship, support, and connection, while sharing in lots of discussion and laughter.  Along with the meetings, MOPS offers regular opportunities for play dates, mom’s night out events, as well as an involvement in variety of service projects throughout the year.  For more information, give Mallory a call!  They are 50 members strong and are always looking for new moms to add to the group!

Mallory’s desire to connect new moms to the community is what led her into becoming a Realtor.  She loves meeting new people who are moving or have recently moved to the area and helping them find the perfect house.  Her very first real estate transaction was with a mother she had met through MOPS.  The couple had moved to the area and were living in a rental house.  They decided they were ready to buy their first home.  Buying a first home can seem overwhelming, but Mallory walked them step by step through the entire process.  Paul and Hannah Thames and their 4 year old daughter are now proud homeowners who are thrilled to be in a new home and are enjoying the pool in their own backyard.
