Meet George Tarlton – from CFO to Realtor

12 Jul Meet George Tarlton – from CFO to Realtor

George Tarlton was born and raised in the Mobile, AL area.   This native Mobilian played basketball in college for Spring Hill College, and later went on to obtain his MBA at the University of South Alabama.  After George married his wife, Cyndi, they decided to move to the Eastern Shore.  He and Cyndi have two daughters, Ansley and Emily, who are entering their sophomore and senior years in college, respectively.  George worked in the corporate world at various positions including CFO for 20+ years.  After spending many years managing a whole lot of people, he decided he would like to change gears and just manage himself for a while.  Real Estate is what he set his sights on and he hasn’t looked back.

Why George Loves Real Estate

George knows the grind of the corporate world and loves that real estate gives him freedom to get out into the community and meet people from all over. Just recently he has worked with people who have moved here from California, Louisiana, Virginia, and Maryland.  He really enjoys the customer service side of real estate.  He is very good at listening to what people want and matching them with the property that best fits their needs.

What makes George a great realtor?

George is  a very “hands on” realtor.   In his spare time, he enjoys building things (like custom furniture) in his at home shop.   George puts this talent to work for his clients.   He is often touching up sheet rock, or helping with tile work, or gladly doing whatever a client may need done to help sell their house, or purchase a new one.  He enjoys the aspect of working to make what can be a difficult situation into smooth sailing for his clients.

No one will deny that George is a hard worker.  After just being in the business for a few months, he received a call on Easter morning.  The call was from a couple visiting from Louisiana.  They needed to leave town quickly, but very much wanted to see one of George’s listings before they left.  Being eager to perform that great customer service, he got out on Easter Sunday and met them at the house in the middle of a thunderstorm.  His dilgence paid off, he ended up selling them the house.   George’s continued hard work and determination has served him well, he is someone we can always count on to get the job done!

And he can get the job done for you!  As can all of our wonderful agents here at Ashurst & Niemeyer.  We do real estate every day!
